At Teem, we prioritize honesty, respect, and building trust among people. This Privacy Policy outlines the minimal personal data we need to provide you Teem Services and how we use and protect your data.
1.1. Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy is part of Teem’s Terms of Service and should be read in conjunction with those terms. In this document, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Teem, "you" refers to the user of Teem and "Services" refers to our cloud-based services you use.
2.1. Phone Number and Contacts
Your phone number used by Teem as a unique identifier and visible to all users. We will only use your phone number exclusively for sending verification codes for you login. (No marketing or “we miss you” bullshit. ©)
We store your contacts to notifiy you when any of your contacts join Teem and for Invite friends feature. We use only the contact's phone number and first and last name to makes things happen and do not store any additional information about your contacts. We ask your permission before syncing your contacts.
2.2. Location Data
We use your location to show it to those users with whom you are sharing it, to calculate distances between you, to define address you are nearby, to send ‘arriving now’ and other notifications. You position is used even when the app is closed. We ask your permission before using your location.
You can use Teem without providing your location, but with the limited functionality.
Note: we do not store your location data when you do not share your location to someone or when the Invisible mode is turned on. We have no infomation where you are at that moment.
2.3. Your Messages
We store messeges (Yo, On My Way, Live) you send to another users. This data is also encrypted both in storage and in transit.
2.4. Basic Account Data
As a comminucation service we provide your basic account data which include profile name, profile picture and description text your put into your profile.
2.5. Aggregated and Metadata
To develop useful and innovative features for our Services, we may use aggregated data on how you use Teem.
To prevent abuse and violations of our "Terms of Service," we may collect metadata, including your IP address, device information, and location history used within Teem.
2.6. Subscription Data
When you buy or use Premium, we receive limited data from Apple App Store and Google Play to activate and keep your subscription working. This may include:
purchase/subscription identifiers (receipt or purchase tokens), product ID, price tier, country/region set by the Store;
subscription status signals (start date, renewal date, cancellation or refund signals, trial/intro offer eligibility);
basic device/account identifiers needed to match the subscription to your Teem account and devices.
We do not receive or store your card number or other direct payment details. We use subscription data only to verify and activate Premium on your devices, sync your subscription status, provide support, prevent fraud/abuse, and produce aggregated, non-personal analytics.
All your personal data is stored on encrypted disks on servers rented by Teem in data centers.
We use secure HTTPS protocol, which ensures that all data transferred between servers and users goes over encrypted connections.
In most cases, personal data is processed automatically without local engineers.
Your personal data will only be stored as long as necessary to provide an enhanced user experience of Teem’s services.
Subscription receipts/tokens and related metadata are stored in encrypted form and kept only as long as they are needed to verify your Premium status, provide support, or meet legal/accounting requirements.
The legal basis for processing your personal data is furthering our legitimate purposes including:
Providing an innovative and user-friendly service to our users.
Preventing spam, abuse, fraud, and security issues.
Protecting your rights and the rights of Teem.
In addition to our legitimate interests described above, we process subscription data to:
Perform our contract with you (provide Premium features you requested);
Comply with legal obligations (for example, accounting and tax rules related to purchases).
To provide our services, we may share your personal data with our third-party partner, Google Firebase. Please review their relevant security and privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy before using our Services.
We may share your personal data with our product team to provide, improve, and support Teem’s services.
Please note that when you create a connection or send messege to another user (who may be located outside the EEA), you are authorizing us to transfer your personal data, on your behalf, to other users of our Services in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
TEEM reserves the right to disclose your IP address and phone number to the relevant authorities if we receive a court order confirming that you are a terror suspect.
Apple App Store and Google Play — to validate purchases, renewals, refunds, and cancellations, and to manage price changes or trial eligibility as provided by the Store.
Our service providers who help us operate Teem (for example, hosting, analytics, customer support). They act on our instructions under data-processing terms.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t share card details (we don’t have them).
Under applicable data protection legislation, you have the following rights:
Request a copy of all the personal data we collect.
Request correction or deletion of your personal data or certain parts of it.
Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data.
You can manage or cancel Premium in your Apple or Google account settings. Refunds are handled by the Store where you purchased. For privacy requests (access, correction, deletion, objection), contact us as described in this section.

We may update this Privacy Policy at our discretion. All changes to this Privacy Policy will take effect upon publication on the following page.
